Peak Design has just revealed an updated version of the popular Capture Camera Clip, now up to v3 and available in black or silver. Made of weatherproof aluminum, this harness system is designed for professional gear and can withstand forces of up to 200 lb. A small clip is used to clamp onto any strap or belt as wide as 2.5", allowing you to place it around your waist or on your backpack. You can then attach the Arca-type quick release plate to your camera, which easily slides onto the clip to mount it and releases the camera at the touch of a button.
Thumbscrews and hex-head bolts are both included, allowing you to use either method for installation, and are also available separately in case you end up losing them. The clip is also available by itself without the plate, so you can customize your setup and have multiple attachment points for the same camera. Finally, you can upgrade the included plate to the Dual Plate v2, which adds Manfrotto RC2 support and compatibility with previous models of the Capture Clip.
Peak Design has also released new colors for two of its camera straps, the Slide and the SlideLITE. Both are now available in ash or black, with the Slide being slightly wider in the neck area at 1.8" compared to the 1.3" of the smaller model. The straps use Peak Design’s widespread anchor system with loop connectors, capable of supporting nearly any camera with its 200-lb load capacity.
