Kenko-Tokina represents Lensbaby in Japan, so it was nice see the LM-10 Sweet Spot Lens along with Composer Pro Optics and the new 5.8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lenses.
Unlike many add-on lenses, the designers of LM-10 know that this market is really all about size and ease of attachment. The LM-10 is about an inch and a half long and connects magnetically to the lens of Android or iOS smart devices, giving those lenses the now familiar Lensbaby selective focus capability. A small adhesive-mounted metal ring is placed on your phone to hold the LM-10, and with a magnet on both ends of its aluminum barrel, additional telephoto or fisheye conversion lenses can also be added. The metal ring enables mounting and removal at a whim, which also best describes the kind of selective focus images that these simple and solid items create. A free Lensbaby app enables further control over the lens’s creative possibilities.
