Your favorite source for professional photo and video equipment, B&H Photo Video, is proud to present the first B&H Depth of Field Conference, on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 24 and 25, at the Penn Plaza Pavilion, 411 Seventh Avenue and 33 Street, in New York City, from 10:00 A.M. until 5:30 P.M.
At B&H, we strive to provide unique experiences for our customers that expose them to the best creative tools, inspirational leaders, and events in the imaging world. We offer all that free of charge, just for being a customer of ours.
The B&H Depth of Field Conference will set the standard for an event tailored to fostering new photographer/videographers and inspiring the veteran pro. The list of speakers, topics, and special programs reflects that, and we'd like to offer some suggestions so that you can experience the entire program and benefit from each facet of Depth of Field.
Depth of Field will feature a main stage that will be live-streamed for those who can't attend. The programs will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on both days. The Main Stage presentations offer intense content designed to inspire you. Acclaimed photographer Lindsay Adler will be emceeing the Main Stage and introducing you to the talented speakers. Depth of Field will also feature three classrooms running at the same time, with smaller, more focused programming on how to run photography businesses.
B&H doesn't forget those who are working in video, and we will feature a video platform, run by Love Stories TV, which will offer programming tailored for those who prefer to work at 30 frames per second, as opposed to 1/250 of a second. To help you choose which session is best for you, the final speaking schedule will have coded "tracks" so you can focus on what you need to learn.
Main-stage presentations will be recorded and showcased soon after Depth of Field, so, if you miss a program, you will be able to review it later. Please note that we will not record the secondary classes, so study the schedule closely to ensure you don't miss something important to you.
Don't miss out on our Depth of Field Studios. You'll have the opportunity to visit seven fully outfitted studios, complete with models and sets. Receive a complimentary Lexar memory card and browse the loaner-gear lockers, where you can check out high-end cameras and lenses in a real-world shooting environment, with pros to guide you along the way. Leica SL, Nikon D850, Sony A7Riii cameras, and the fastest lenses from all the major manufacturers, including Sigma and Tamron, will be available.
After crafting images, the hands-on HP and Apple work stations will be open for lessons on editing, post-processing, and workflow. Understand how monitor quality affects critical color adjustments with Viewsonic and LG pro monitors. Pick the best images and have Canon and Epson make prints. It's the whole experience, from shoot to print, at Depth of Field. B&H is very excited to bring this segment of the program to attendees, especially for the new photographers who lack diversity and volume in their starter portfolios. The work they create here will help get a foothold in the industry or brighten up their social media platforms as they upload images to their Instagram feeds (as a matter of fact, by tagging images created at Depth of Field, attendees will have a chance to win a Sony A7Riii camera!)
Tuesday night, all are invited to a special experience at the B&H SuperStore, at 420 Ninth Avenue and 34 Street, for a Nikon-sponsored party. Your Depth of Field wrist band will ensure you can join the fun, food, refreshments, and Nikon raffles.
