Canon Transforms Everyday Printing and Scanning with New Lineup

By revamping nearly every option in its everyday printing and scanning lineup, Canon has made sure that not only will everyone be able to find the perfect model, but that each will deliver excellent quality. In this massive release, Canon offers a wide variety of options, including a crafting-based printer, a larger 11 x 17" printer, standard office all-in-ones, and a range of wireless inkjets. Also, two slim scanners are being released, along with a wireless presenter remote. Follow below for a full rundown of all the latest releases.

PIXMA TS9521C Crafting All-in-One Inkjet Printer

A fan of scrapbooking and other arts and crafts? The newly developed TS9521C is supposed to be perfect for crafting, with added paper-feeding options for handling card stock and labels, as well as built-in printable patterns so you can get started quickly, right from the printer. It is a very capable printer, with a five-ink system and resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi for sharp, colorful images that will last up to 100 years in an album. Expanded media support improves versatility because the TS9521C can work with 12 x 12" paper, and standard sizes from 3.5 x 3.5" up to 11 x 17".

Beyond printing, the TS9521C features scanning and copying using either a flatbed or ADF. Built-in Wi-Fi with support for Apple AirPrint, Mopria, and others, as well as an SD card slot, will provide all the connectivity you need to access and share files. Additionally, it this printer has a 4.3" touchscreen for easily navigating settings and features.

PIXMA TS9520 All-in-One Inkjet Printer

For everyday printing, the TS9520 is a streamlined version of the crafting model that will provide you with an ideal setup for your home. It can handle documents up to 11 x 17" and has a five-ink system for crisp, colorful prints. Add an ADF and flatbed for scanning/copying and support for two-sided printing, and you have a very capable machine. For operation, there is an intuitive 4.3" touchscreen, while Wi-Fi, AirPrint, Mopria, and a built-in SD card slot make it able to work natively with a range of devices.

PIXMA TR4520 All-in-One Inkjet Printer

Offices, especially those in need of a fax, will be well served by the TR4520, which will be available in Black or White to fit all types of decor. Relatively compact, this unit features printing, scanning, copying, and faxing with a Hybrid Ink System that offers streamlined resource management with only two cartridges. The printer works with up to legal-sized documents and offers automatic duplexing. Also, for those looking to print the occasional photo, the printer will support borderless from 4 x 6" to 8.5 x 11". Wireless connectivity and ease of use are hallmarks of this model, as well, with built-in Wi-Fi, AirPrint and Mopria support, and Wireless Connect and the Canon PRINT app. Another bonus of this model is IFTT (IF This Then That) support for automating various printing tasks to save time.

PIXMA TS8220 All-in-One Inkjet Printer

Sleek and stylish is a fair description of the TS8220, and it manages to remain a very capable printer, scanner, and copier that you can purchase in either Black, White, or Red. The wireless-enabled printer uses a six-ink set, including Photo Blue for enhanced color reproduction, and offers print speeds of up to 15 ipm in black and 10 ipm in color for productivity. An auto-expandable output tray ensures the printer is always at the ready, is compact when not in use, and it can work with media up to 8.5 x 14". It has a 4.3" touchscreen for operation, and it comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi built-in for streamlined wireless connectivity.

PIXMA TS6220 All-in-One Inkjet Printer

Small, fast, and designed for everyday needs, the TS6220, available in Black or White, is a solid option for home printing, scanning, and copying. A five-ink set ensures smooth color gradations, while speeds of 15 ipm in black and 10 ipm in color make sure you aren’t wasting time waiting for your prints. It supports up to 8.5 x 14" media via a front or rear paper feed, while Wireless Connect ensures easy setup from a smartphone, and the Canon PRINT app lets you perform scanning and copying without a computer. Automatic duplexing will save on paper use, and it has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with AirPrint and Mopria compatibility. There is IFTTT support for using custom-designed automated functions.

CanoScan LiDE 400 and 300 Scanners

The slim CanoScan LiDE 400 and 300 scanners aim to provide a high-quality scanning solution for your home. The 400, with a USB Type-C connection, offers the best performance, with 4800 x 4800 optical resolution and eight-second scan speeds for the 8.5 x 11.7" flatbed. The unit features image enhancements, such as color restore and dust removal, to make the digitizing process easier. Operation is smooth, with five EZ buttons and an Auto Scan Mode, in addition to built-in PDF buttons and the ability to create editable documents with OCF via the included software. The 300 offers many of the same advantages, though, with a more conservative 2400 x 2400 dpi resolution, 10-second scan speed, and four EX buttons. In addition, the 300 uses a standard USB 2.0 connection.

PR1100-R Wireless Presenter Remote

Finally, an interesting accessory Canon just announced is the PR1100-R Wireless Presenter Remote. Able to work with most Macs and PCs due to its USB receiver, this device offers a 50' range for quickly controlling slideshows and volume in Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, Adobe Reader, and Apple Preview. It also features a red laser to help you give your presentation.
