Irix has introduced a new 150mm f/2.8 Macro lens, which is a twist for a company primarily recognized as a manufacturer of ultra wide-angle lenses. Available for cameras with Canon EF, Pentax K, and Nikon F lens mounts, the Irix 150mm f/2.8 Macro features a newly designated “Dragonfly” finish, which blends the best weight and strength attributes of Irix’s popular Blackstone and Firefly-designated optics.
Irix’s new manual-focus macro lens focuses down to life-size (1:1) from 13.4" away, and features 12 elements in 9 groups, a 16° diagonal AoV, an 11-blade aperture, weighs about 1.8 lb (840g), and accepts 77mm filters. Also, included with each lens is a dedicated shade and a tripod collar with an Arca-compatible foot.
