Fotografia es la forma más sublime de describir lo que el ser humano interpreta que ve. Es una manera de decir y expresar, desde sentimientos hasta ideologias politicas. La fotografia revela, da a conocer algo y, al mismo tiempo, provoca reflexión, analisis, empatia, trauma, saca flote los sentimentos y, le sirvea la humanidad como un recurso social para recordar y hacer memoria. Es la forma más efimera de recordar el pasado y dejar un legado en el presente. La fotografia es tambien un mecanismo de control de la masas y, a través de ella, se generan y creas esterotipos sociales, culturales, economicos y politicos. A la vez, el oficio de hacer fotografia nos convierte en escritores graficos, al leer una foto uno logra encontrar la estructura gramatical de lo visual, las fotos tienen su propia semantica y alfabeto los cuales nos ayuden a entender e interpretar las imágenes. La fotografia es el medio por el cual yo me expreso para contar lo que me interesa, me gusta y me preocupa.
Photography is the most sublime form that human beings have, to interpret what they see. It’s a way of telling and expressing, from feelings to ideologies. Photography reveals, but at the same time, provokes reflection, empathy, trauma, and brings feelings to the surface and serves humanity as a social resource to remember and make memories. It is the most ephemeral form to record the past and leave a legacy for the present. Photography is also a mechanism to control the masses and can generate social, cultural, economic, and political stereotypes. At the same time, the “profession” of photography makes us graphic writers; when reading a photograph, one can find a grammar of the visual—photos have their own semantics and alphabet that allow us to understand and interpret the images. Photography is the medium with which I express what interests me and what worries me.
