The world of the FUJIFILM hybrid cameras just got more awesome, because the latest cameras got smaller and cooler. FUJIFILM is rolling out the INSTAX Mini LiPlay Hybrid Instant Camera and some funky celebratory INSTAX Mini Confetti Instant Film. The INSTAX Mini LiPlay camera weighs just over a pound and measures 5.8 x 4.1 x 3.4"—making it truly portable—and it comes in Elegant Black, Blush Gold, and Stone White. These dimensions make this camera the smallest INSTAX yet, and if you aren’t familiar with the semi-new genre of the hybrid camera, they are pretty cool.
Instant film photography is as popular as ever, but if you want to share your instant prints with friends online, you have to take a photo of the print using your smartphone or camera. No longer. The hybrid INSTAX Mini LiPlay lets you shoot a digital image, print out that image instantly, and also post the photo online by sending it digitally to your phone using Bluetooth and the Fujifilm app. Even cooler, send photos from your smartphone (either your own snaps or other pics on the Web) to the phone for instant printing. The app has some other fun features, including filters and frames that can be added to your photos before you print them, and even the ability to record sound with the image, convert the sound to a QR code and print the QR code on the image for playback later on. This is pretty much the best of the digital and analog worlds combined in a stylish small package.
And, since we all need more celebrating in our lives, Fujifilm is releasing the festively bordered Confetti Film for all current INSTAX Mini instant print cameras, including the new INSTAX Mini LiPlay, and the INSTAX SHARE SP-2 Smartphone Printer.
