Lowepro has announced two new top-loading camera bags designed for mirrorless cameras. The new Photo Active TLZs come in two lightweight sizes designed to provide enthusiast photographers protection for camera, one attached lens, and accessories while traveling, roaming the city, or hiking. Comfort, easy access, rugged build, and secure protection from the elements are the key features of the new Photo Active TLZ 45 AW and Photo Active TLZ 50 AW, which expand Lowepro’s Photo Active series to four bags of varying sizes.
The two new bags are suited for mirrorless cameras such as the Sony Alpha a9 II or the Canon EOS R series, but can be used with any camera of similar size. As a “top-loader,” cameras are placed in bag the with the lens attached for quick access. Both bags also feature an exterior zippered side pocket, front stretch pocket, and interior zippered pocket to store a range of accessories, such as memory cards, filters, and extra batteries. The included All Weather AW Cover provides additional protection from rain, snow, dust, and sand, while double slider 360 zippers make for easy loading and access. The AW series bags can be carried comfortably by hand, thanks to wide, padded web handles, or across the body with an adjustable (and detachable) shoulder strap or attached at the waist via a built-in belt loop.
The Photo Active TLZ 45 AW is the smaller of the two bags and is ideal for a premium mirrorless camera with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens attached. It weighs just 0.57 lb and provides 6" of internal length to hold your camera and lens safely. The Photo Active TLZ 50 AW is designed to carry a camera with a 70-200mm f/2.8 or other comparably sized lens. The 50 AW weighs 0.71 lb and is 8.7" long internally and 12" externally. Both bags are a handsome black and gray and made from durable nylon.
