Night Sky Time-Lapse

Night sky time-lapse photography is awesome! In this lecture, David Marx (@davidmarxphoto) will first explain the fundamentals of night sky time-lapse photography, including how to shoot a sequence of images for time-lapse using any DSLR or advanced mirrorless camera body. Next, you will learn about the simple steps that are required to animate your stack of sequential starscape images using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop.

Timelapse video clips accelerate the passage of time yet they are built from a simple stack of traditional photographic images.
In this lecture, David Marx will first explain the fundamentals of night sky timelapse photography, including how to shoot a sequence of images for timelapse using any DSLR or advanced mirrorless camera body. Shooting the Moon
Monday, August 9, 5:00 P.M. ET
Listen and learn about Andrei Duman’s (@dumanphotography) recent personal project at the Mount Wilson Observatory, using the Hubble Telescope, to capture photographs of the moon and stars. Working with their team, Duman attached a medium format camera to both their 60" and 100" telescopes to capture 150MP images of the moon in amazing high-resolution detail.

Nikon Ambassador Dave Black (@daveblackphoto) will be teaching and demonstrating the artistic lighting technique of lightpainting, which combines long exposure times with illumination from mobile light sources to create unique photographic images. This highly creative technique is applicable to every photographic genre and is the gateway to more styles of creative lighting. Black will teach you the step-by-step method and how you can achieve it from the comfort of your own home, and he will create several examples live during the session.
