Soft light also wraps around your subject and can help illuminate a larger area to create a flattering, natural look for your subjects. For extra versatility, this panel features a variable color temperature range from tungsten to daylight that will help to match your lighting to almost any ambient sources.
To ensure proper illumination, the Astra 1x1 Soft has a high output compared to equivalent soft fixtures. Users can control this output with a seamless dial on the back of the panel with adjustments from 0-100%. To keep performance at its greatest, the Astra is equipped with a dual cooling system that uses an aluminum I-beam core construction along with end-cap exhaust vents and fans. Along with this, a high CRI guarantees accurate color in your images.
Operation is simple with physical dials on the rear of the panel. For advanced setups, users can pick up optional Communications Modules for DMX via RJ45 and 5-pin XLR connections. Even wireless control is possible with a Bluetooth Communications Module. Powering the unit is easy, since it includes a universal 100-240 VAC power supply that connects via a 3-pin XLR input. For on-location use, optional battery plates are supported for using Gold or V-mount batteries.
