Begin your adventures in water-based photo or video shooting with AquaTech's new, entry-level BASE Underwater Sport Housings for DSLR and mirrorless cameras—now in stock at B&H. Rated for depths of up to 33', they are designed for shallow water and surface use. The supplied 2-Button Pistol Grip Trigger enables focus and shutter control, while optional gears for different lenses allow for zoom operation. Remaining camera functions must be preset or automatic. An optional bulkhead sync cord connector, which is supplied with the AquaTech Strike flash housings, permits the use of external strobes and Pocket Wizards.
BASE housings offer a design that’s both durable and ergonomic, with a polyurethane body, stainless steel / anodized aluminum parts, and a curved side grip handle. The included P-65 Lens Port features a flat, abrasion-resistant, acrylic front element and accommodates an array of lenses with a maximum length of 63mm. Additionally, the enclosure is compatible with AquaTech's full range of interchangeable P series ports for various lenses. The BASE is currently available for the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III / 5DS / 5DS R, 7D, 7D Mark II, 70D / 80D, and Rebel T6s / T6i; Nikon D810 / D800, D750, D610 / D600, D7200 / D7100, and D5500; and Sony Alpha a7 II / a7R II / a7S II cameras.
