Coming in on the heels of their first autofocus lens announcement, the AF 50mm f/1.4 FE, Rokinon is introducing their second lens with autofocus: the AF 14mm f/2.8 FE. Designed for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, this lens provides a truly broad field of view, making it well-suited to landscape, nature, and interior subjects. Additionally, the bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is suitable for working under a variety of lighting conditions.
Both extra-low dispersion and aspherical elements are featured in the optical design to control aberration and an Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to reduce lens flare and ghosting. A built-in lens hood contributes to shielding the bulbous front element in order to prevent flare. Manual focus override is possible for more refined control and a seven-blade circular diaphragm is also featured for smooth out-of-focus highlights.
