This week in the news: After a long, restful, winter slumber, the explosion of the 2015 CES trade show has left The Gear Roundup a bit exhausted after a week where, according to the PBS Newshour, over 20,000 new products were released in a week of excitement in Las Vegas. We kept you up to speed on much of it and our site is still rich with fairly new stuff from CES, so, after you read this roundup, stick around and see what else you might enjoy. Even with the massive amount of releases from last week, The Gear Roundup has a few new things to highlight from this week...
Fujifilm releases new mirrorless, point-and-shoots, and lenses

Following closely on the heels of their big CES announcements, Fujifilm has released a small posse of exciting new cameras and lenses that add to their very popular X-series line as well as new cameras joining their point-and-shoots, super zooms, and rugged cameras.
The X-series welcomes the new X-A2 Mirrorless Digital Camera, with a 175° tilting LCD screen for selfies. The point-and-shoot is the new XQ2 Digital Camera with a particularly attractive design. Updating their tough camera series is the FinePix XP80 Digital Camera. And, for the fans of the super zoom, the FinePix S9800 Digital Camera is a telescope in your pocket with a long reach of 1200mm (35mm equivalent). Its brother is the Wi-Fi capable FinePix S9900W Digital Camera.
The X-series lens lineup continues to grow with the new XC 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II Lens, included with the X-A2, and the XC 50-230mm f/4.5-6.7 OIS II Lens, which offers an expanded zoom range for more versatility.

New Pentax binos

The Gear Roundup personally can't wait to try these out at the store and is secretly glad the 7x50s were not upgraded as it just purchased a pair as a holiday gift last month!
