Gitzo Centennial Observed with Two Extremely Limited Edition Tripods

One hundred years ago, in 1917, a small French company founded by Arsène Gitzhoven began producing photographic accessories. To celebrate the centennial of the founding of the company, Gitzo is issuing a pair of special edition versions of its popular carbon fiber Traveler Tripod—the 100-Year Anniversary Edition, and the even more rare Arsène Gitzhoven 100-Year Anniversary Edition!

Only 100 Arsène Gitzhoven 100-Year Anniversary Edition carbon fiber tripods will be produced, and B&H will be getting a very limited number for our customers. Included with the special edition support is an exclusive engraving of the customer’s signature on the leg of the tripod. Also, the rare piece will arrive in special packaging, a limited-edition leather case and strap, handwritten certificate of authenticity, a hang tag with the name of the craftsman who created the tripod, and the tripod legs will feature a limited-edition logo and serial number.

The 100-Year Anniversary Edition tripod will also be an instant collector’s item because only 1,917 will be produced. It features a new black and titanium-gray color combination, is outfitted with a special anniversary strap, and is serial-numbered from #1 to 1917. Like the Arsène Gitzhoven edition, the ball of the ball head and one tripod leg also carry 100-year anniversary engravings and a hang tag signed by the craftsman.

Both versions ship with special packaging, featuring specially lined boxes.

The Arsène Gitzhoven and 100-Year Anniversary Limited Edition carbon fiber tripods feature a 22-lb payload capacity while weighing only 2.95 lb. Maximum height with the center column down is 55.5" and it is 16.9" long when collapsed for transport.
