Now available for pre-order is the enhanced PowerShot G7 X Mark II Digital Camera, from Canon. Taking the popular and compact point-and-shoot and refining it, the G7 X Mark II jumps up to the latest DIGIC 7 image processor for improved performance and speed throughout the system, while a more robust grip and body ensure maximum comfort and control during use. Internally, the camera retains the large 20.1MP 1" CMOS sensor of its predecessor, along with the 24-100mm equivalent f/1.8-2.8 zoom lens that will satisfy shooters working in a wide range of situations.

In terms of improvements brought by an enhanced processor, the G7 X Mark II is able to shoot at an impressive continuous rate of 8 fps and can work with an expanded ISO range up to 25600 for improved low-light imaging with low noise and great detail. The camera is also capable of Full HD 1080p video at up to 60 fps, and it has an Intelligent IS system that will combat the effects of camera shake during stills and movie recording.

Besides a heftier grip, the camera’s external design is very similar to its predecessor, including a large 3.0-inch 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD that can tilt upward 180° for selfies. It also comes equipped with a control ring around the lens that can now be clicked or de-clicked, depending on your personal needs. Additionally, it has built-in Wi-Fi and NFC for sharing images wirelessly with a linked smartphone or tablet, using the Canon Camera Connect app.
